\nOn September 15, the Constitutional Court rejected the constitutionality inquiry filed by Bolivian President Jeanine \u00c1\u00f1ez against the Law of States of Exception<\/a>. Approved by the Plurinational Assembly, the norm establishes that the government may not suspend the exercise of political rights, the right to information and freedom of conscience, nor the recognition of legal personality within the framework of the declaration of the constitutional state of exception. Neither administrative sanction may be imposed for non-compliance with the established measures. The declaration of the state of exception must detail the reasons that justify its application and the scope for citizen rights and guarantees. The Court also lifted the precautionary measure that had suspended the enactment of the law and its publication in the Official Gazette.
