El 9 de septiembre la C\u00e1mara de Diputados rechaz\u00f3, por falta de qu\u00f3rum, un proyecto de reforma constitucional<\/a> que busca aumentar la capacidad del Presidente para sacar a las Fuerzas Armadas a la calle cuando est\u00e9 en riesgo la infraestructura cr\u00edtica para el funcionamiento del pa\u00eds: servicios de agua, gas y electricidad, comunicaciones y transporte, entre otros. Si la reforma se sanciona, podr\u00e1 hacerlo sin necesidad de decretar el estado de emergencia y por un per\u00edodo de hasta 30 d\u00edas: 15 m\u00e1s que los previstos actualmente por la Constituci\u00f3n. Inicialmente el proyecto inclu\u00eda tambi\u00e9n el resguardo de edificios p\u00fablicos como La Moneda, el Ministerio P\u00fablico o los Tribunales Judiciales, pero estos fueron eliminados durante su tratamiento en el Senado. Debido al rechazo de Diputados, la iniciativa deber\u00e1 ser tratada por una Comisi\u00f3n Mixta compuesta por representantes de ambas C\u00e1maras del Congreso, quienes deber\u00e1n acordar un nuevo texto o rechazarlo.<\/p>\n
