Si bien la crisis sanitaria puso en suspenso las manifestaciones multitudinarias en Chile, las protestas no se interrumpieron completamente. Al d\u00eda de hoy, existen grupos que contin\u00faan expres\u00e1ndose contra la desigualdad social en la v\u00eda p\u00fablica. El conflicto escal\u00f3 el 1\u00b0 de mayo, cuando el cuerpo de Carabineros inform\u00f3 que entre los manifestantes hab\u00eda uno con COVID-19. En ese marco, el 5 de mayo, la C\u00e1mara de Diputados de Chile aprob\u00f3 un proyecto de ley impulsado por el gobierno que castiga con prisi\u00f3n, multa o trabajo comunitario a las personas u organizaciones que \u201cpongan en peligro la salud p\u00fablica\u201d. \u00bfQui\u00e9nes amenazan la salud p\u00fablica?: los que no cumplan con las reglas higi\u00e9nicas o de salud, y organicen actividades p\u00fablicas o espect\u00e1culos. Tambi\u00e9n podr\u00e1n ser multadas las organizaciones o servicios que sigan funcionando en una zona declarada en cuarentena.
